Noble Leather Bevor

A Noble’s Neck Protection

Epic Armoury’s Dark Red Noble Leather Bevor is a piece of handmade leather armour designed to protect the face and neck, inspired by traditional armour worn during the medieval period. Molded to sit comfortably around the neck and rest on the shoulders, the Bevor offers some of the best protection for the battlefield. Overlapping leather allows for some flexibility, while the red velvet lining and the scalloped edges provide a rich appearance. This bevor can easily be paired with other Epic Armoury helmets and the Noble Gorget for a complete look.

Secure the Bevor by tightening the leather strap across the back of the neck, adjusting so that the chin sits comfortably. Made of thick, hardened top-grain leather, this armour piece is built to withstand the abuse of a LARP or reenactment with regular leather care.

Available in colours Dark Red, Green, and Black.

HISTORY

  • Typically worn with a sallet or burgonet in order to protect the entire head and neck
  • Plate version was used during jousting tournaments
  • Bevor is a term also used for the hinged plate protecting the lower face and throat in a closed helm
